In the beginning men used to see a beautiful woman.. followed her and took her by force to his cave. A lot has changed since our caveman times.. now we have technology that helps us find a mate :) No longer do we have to fight against a foe or rely on pheromones to attract a partner! We now have have technology on our side which makes it easier for us to approach someone without the work involved of trying to get their attention. Many people used to see online or Internet dating, also known as e-dating, for people who have low self esteem or who were not very attractive.. ..well.. all of that is changing now.
The numerous online dating sites out there has connected sooo many people from all parts of the country..even from all over the world!
What amazes me is the numerous stories I've heard lately from my friends and co-workers regarding the Internet dating craze!
For example..there is the story of this guy who started chatting with a lady online..as time went by the chatting continued and it got more and more interesting. Approximately 3 months went by when they exchanged telephone numbers and started chatting over the phone. Finally, around 9 months into the online relationship they decided to meet each other. The only problem is that my friend lives in Florida and she lived in New Jersey... so my friend decided to pay for her flight ticket...after all.. they knew each other fairly well by now :)
When this young lady arrived in Florida, she did look like her online pic....BUT her personality was completely different than what my friend expected! Soon my friend discovered that this lady, although attractive, didn't want to leave his side! Wow..all this for messing around with a chat room :)
Another story has to do with an online dating service which asks you numerous questions to determine your compatibility with the person you are looking for...yes i think you guessed the right website I'm talking about : ) I don't know much details about this story, but what i can tell you is that this lady did meet the man of her dreams via this online dating site. At this time they are married, and have started a family! Hummm..maybe these sites do work after all!
As many might expect there are both good and bad people on these chat lines so its best to always use caution when using one. But there is no doubt that it makes it easier to meet someone by simply doing a few clicks from the comfort of your own home. I have another friend of mine that joined a online dating service to simple have fun and meet people to party with..so there is something for everyone on these sites.
